MEETING MINUTES
Fire Department Board Meeting
June 12, 2018
Meeting called to order by Mayor Chris Tuter at 7:02 p.m. on June 12, 2018, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Answering roll call: Mayor Tuter and Trustees Lisa Cookson, Shelly Martin, and Rick Trevathan. Trustee Norma Crockett was absent. Quorum was declared. Fire Chief Larry Sanders, Jr., Police Chief Larry Sanders, and Town Clerk Janice Sharp were present. No visitors were signed in nor were any visitors signed in to speak
1. Fire department report for May 2018 was given by Fire Chief Sanders, reporting 2 medical calls, 3 fires, 0 motor vehicle accidents, 1 off-road vehicle accident, 1 training class, 1 fire department meeting, 2 storm watches, and 2,500 gallons of water used.
a) Mayor Tuter made a motion, with Trustee Cookson seconding the motion, to approve the maintenance reports on the fire department vehicles. Voting: Tuter, yes; Cookson, yes; Martin, yes; and Trevathan, yes. Motion carried.
Fire Chief Sanders reported on the recently purchased fire truck, stating that the shipping of the cabin chassis had been delayed, and when it was ready to be picked it, he planned to do so.
2. Trustee Martin made a motion, with Trustee Trevathan seconding the motion, to approve the Meeting Minutes of the Regular Session meeting of the Fire Department Board on May 8, 2018. Voting: Tuter, yes; Cookson, yes; Martin, yes; and Trevathan, yes. Motion carried.
3. Trustee Martin made a motion, with Trustee Cookson seconding the motion, to approve the Meeting Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Fire Department Board on May 30, 2018. Voting: Tuter, abstain; Cookson, yes; Martin, yes; and Trevathan, yes. Motion carried.

7. Approval of Adjournment. Mayor Tuter made a motion, with Trustee Trevathan seconding the motion, to adjourn the meeting at 7:08 p.m. Voting: Tuter, yes; Cookson, yes; Martin, yes; and Trevathan, yes. Motion carried, meeting adjourned.
